Diversity at Chicago GSB

As one of the top business schools, Chicago GSB believes strongly in preparing leaders who bring diverse viewpoints to the workplace.

First university to grant a PhD in Business to a woman, Ursula Batchelder Stone (1929)
Chicago awards its first MBA to an African American, Lionel Wallace (1942)

Since the mid-1980s, only top business school with resources exclusively dedicated to an Office of Diversity Affairs (ODA).

We actively recruit and support gays, lesbians, women and under-represented minorities. The Admissions Office partners with several organizations to reach out and attract the best students by hosting admission events for women and minorities.

Office of Diversity Affairs programming for women, gays, lesbians, African American, Latino, and Native American students is designed to help them prepare for their future careers.
