Hurricane Katrina: Chicago GSB Accepting Visiting Students

In an effort to support our graduate business school colleagues, and their students, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business is welcoming applications for Fall Quarter Visiting Students displaced by Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent flooding in New Orleans and nearby areas.

We will accept applications until September 16. There will be no formal application materials. Interested students should send relevant information, including a resume, grades earned to date in both graduate and undergraduate study and other relevant information to:

Kristine Mackey
312-464-8675
kmackey@chicagogsb.edu

ChicagoGSB will render a decision on each application no later than Monday, September 19, 2005 . Students who require a decision prior to that date should indicate so and all efforts will be made to accommodate such requests.

We will not expect Visiting Students who have already paid for the coming term to pay tuition during Fall Quarter 2005. Visiting Students will be responsible for room and board. It will be up to the home schools to render a decision regarding the awarding of credits earned at ChicagoGSB. We will work with Visiting Students and their home schools to transfer earned credit once they've returned to normal operations. We will work with Visiting Students to identify appropriate living arrangements. Our eleven-week Fall 2005 quarter begins on September 22nd . We plan to admit up to 25 students, as course placement permits, and will work to confirm a course schedule which meets the curricular needs of each admitted Visiting Student.
